There are five 'story' achievements related to required progress, with a couple miscellaneous ones - one of which requires you to spend over 3 and half hours in the game so a tree can grow. Several are dedicated to finding landmarks in the wider map, which has nothing to do with the game itself. You don't start earning them until Act 3 in the game. The game is odd in terms of its achievements. Not to mention the often unfair AI with the Neighbor in terms of setting traps and other mechanics. The game itself is notoriously glitchy with wild physics and questionable jump mechanics and hit boxes. You play as 'George' and see his life growing up in fear of said Neighbor, escaping from his basement and then returning to relive a 'nightmare' to overcome fears caused by childhood 'trauma'.
